On August 24th, 2023, Science Bowl Club (SBC) had their first meeting in Ms. Hertz's biology classroom.
During the meeting, SBC President Laura Vuong introduced their mission, goals, and general contents of the club. As an ice breaker, students split up into groups and challenged the members to create the tallest tower with only marshmallows and toothpicks using engineering concepts of structural stability.
The club plans to curate and perform science experiments and activities monthly as well as hold practices and competitions to prepare for the National Science Bowl competition set for early 2024.
