HOSA Brings Smiles to the Elderly

Valentine's Day is a day to celebrate love, and this year, the students of the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) club at our school went above and beyond to spread love and joy to elderly patients at a local nursing home in Port Saint Lucie.

HOSA students at LPA spread love and joy on Valentine's Day by creating handmade Valentine's Day cards for elderly patients at Tradition Hospital. The students spent the meeting creating unique and heartfelt messages, genuinely wanting to bring a smile to the patients' faces and make their day special.

The idea to create cards for elderly patients came from the HOSA club's president Camille Anoos, who recognized the need to spread joy to those who might feel lonely or isolated on Valentine's Day. The students eagerly participated in the project to make a positive impact in their community.

On Valentine's Day, the HOSA students delivered the cards to the patients, who were delighted to receive the handmade cards filled with messages of love, encouragement, and support. The students spent time talking to the patients, learning about their lives, and spreading joy and love to them.

The students were able to earn community service hours for each card they made, which added to the satisfaction of bringing joy to the patients.

Overall, the HOSA students' Valentine's Day project was a huge success. The patients at Tradition Hospital were touched by the students' kindness and thoughtfulness, and the students gained valuable community service hours while making a difference in the lives of others. The project is a heartwarming example of students coming together to make a positive impact, and we're proud of the HOSA club's efforts to spread love and joy on Valentine's Day.
