On Thursday, October 13th, the seniors on the LPA Girls’ Varsity Volleyball team were recognized and celebrated for their contribution to the team before their game.
Both the JV and Varsity LPA Lady Greyhounds played a tough game against the Saint Edward’s Lady Pirates. The games were close and action-packed. JV came away with a victory.
In between games, a beautiful and emotional ceremony was conducted for the seniors on the varsity team – Lahela Cornett, Kylah Tiger, Reese Williams, Sofia Macias. All of the girls were escorted by their families. They received flowers, tiaras, and sashes from their teammates and shook hands with their coach, assistant coach, LPA Athletic Director, Mr. Moore, and LPA’s administration. Fellow LPA senior Emma Rizzo read out the players achievements, future plans, and favorite memories on the team. It was a perfect way to start a tough match played. The girls’ varsity team is playing in the District Championship next week, and we wish them the best of luck.
