On September 22nd, LPA held the annual Senior Pinning event. Senior Pinning commemorates and acknowledges the Class of 2024 and upcoming graduation with a pin and a ceremony.
The event started with Principal Herrington greeting the students and their families. She gave a brief speech about how important it is to cherish the last year of high school. This was followed by a brief speech by senior class president, Rayna Desmangles. Finally, before all the senior student names were called, Ms. Stone led a heartfelt tribute to the LPA students who were a part of the class of 2024 but unfortunately passed away, Raquan Filsaime and Ellice Sena. The family of Ellice Sena came on stage to receive her pin.
The presentation of pins was carried out by Ms. Octavi, and the students walked across the stage, received their pins, and shook hands with administration. All of the seniors were dressed up and supported by their families and friends who came to see this occasion. It was a very important moment in the senior year and the first of many events to come.
